What we collect, and why

When you buy: Stripe collects your email, payment details, and billing country to process the payment and calculate tax. We receive your email and order status from Stripe so we can deliver the guide, mark your copy with your email, and send new download links.
When you ask for the free checklist: your email, and whether you ticked the box for training tips. Without the tick we only send the checklist.
Server logs: our host records technical data (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operation.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages and videos bring visitors and sales. It records pages viewed, the link you came from, your approximate location (country, region), device and browser, and events such as starting checkout or asking for the checklist. IP addresses aren't stored by Google Analytics 4. Advertising features and Google signals are switched off, and we don't use advertising cookies.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland: no analytics cookies are set. Google only receives cookieless signals without an identifier.
Everywhere else: Google Analytics sets its cookies (_ga, _ga_*, up to 2 years) to recognise repeat visits.
When you buy: our server reports the purchase (order number, price, currency, and the link you came from) to Google Analytics. We never send your email or name.

You can block Google Analytics with your browser's privacy settings or Google's opt-out add-on.

We don't use tracking pixels or advertising cookies.

Who processes it

Stripe (payments, as merchant of record): stripe.com/privacy

Fly.io (hosting this site, in the United States)
Google Analytics (visitor statistics): policies.google.com/privacy

Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland and the EU, including in the United States, under the safeguards the law requires.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as accounting law requires. Checklist sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data, or object to its use, by emailing hello@marathonwithgus.run. You can also complain to a data protection authority.
